Tour Description

Pick up at your hotel’s lobby around 8:00am.
Head to Badaling Great Wall, which takes about 1.5 hours. The Great Wall was initially built in the Spring and Autumn Period; the construction, connection and restoration of the wall had never ceased in the following 2000 years.
Badaling Great Wall is the highlight and the most excellent section of Great Walls built in Ming Dynasty. It is also the best preserved part of Great Wall.
The Wall of Badaling section is composed of Guan city and its affiliated walls. The walls were constructed by bar stones and bricks along the top of mountains. At the strategic points,there are city platforms, wall platforms and watching towers.
The wall averages 7.8 metres high, 6.5 metres wide of the base, and 5.8 metres on the top. The highest section is 15 meters high. The wall was designed to allow five horse or ten soldiers to march on the wall.

Spend 2 Hours at your own pace to hike and enjoy the Wall.

Then we will stop at a local restaurant for lunch

After lunch, heading to the Long Qing gorge.Visitors compare the scenery of the gorge to the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River, but its mountains are much steeper than those along the Yangtze. The scenery also resembles the Li River in Guilin, but the water here is much clearer.

In addition, it is special for its ice lantern show in winter from January to February. Although every year, the lantern show has its own theme, but the spectacular icefall against the dam wall is always the highlight. If you are keen to see the marvelous combination of the natural wonder and human creativity, you can go there during the winter.

You will spend around 2 hours at Longqing Gorge.

Badaling Great Wall

1. Without cable car you still able to get on the Wall, so this section is idea for people who afraid of hight, and who want just get on the Wall for some photos to remember.
2. This section is the most popular section of the Wall, so usually it is crowded with Chinese tour groups,especially during the Chinese public holiday, we will recommend to choose other sections of the Wall
3. Please wear comfortable shoes for this day trip

Longqing gorge

1. When visit Longqing Gorge we will mainly focus on the lake and water scenery, you will take the boat to enjoy the peace of the area, you also can spend hours to go up to the mountain
2. In winter this tour can start late, or during noon,after the Wall trip you can heading to the Longqing gorge to watch the Ice Lantern Show
